As a formally trained herbalist, Acupuncturist and Registered Nurse, I have studied many medical disciplines for over 25 years. As an Acupuncturist, I know that skin problems, including sagging and wrinkles, are cause by the lack of Qi and/or blood in the area of concern. I also know that Acupuncture and herbs can correct these problems.
Today, America spends billions of dollars on beauty products, surgery and related services in the attempt to preserve repair or protect what we see in the mirror. Most commercial beauty products are toxic to the immune & endocrine systems – they are foreign to the body, metabolism and skin. Natural scientists call them “hormone disruptors” and they do as the name implies.
Most of us know that when we read food labels, the rule of thumb is “if you cannot pronounce an ingredient, then it has to be bad for you”. Well, did you ever read what is in skin products? The same rule should apply here. Your skin absorbs just as quickly as your stomach. Everything that touches your skin will enter the blood stream. Start to read the labels on the products that you currently use. Some ingredients contain heavy metals and arsenic.
